Action Tunes by Mary Alice Rich: Violin Parts

Written to commemorate the 100th birthday of world-renowned pedagogue, Paul Rolland, these 8 pieces, including a student part and a teacher part, are key to establishing fine movement patterns leading to balanced, healthy playing. The pieces can be played as a duet between student and teacher, or other string instruments playing essentially the same parts can be added. The very accessible piano parts are essentially both the student and teacher parts combined. Ms Rich, whose web site is MaryAliceRich.com, allows unlimited downloads of the tunes. Her generosity is noted here with great appreciation.  Please also see https://shopus.rcmusic.com/search?q=Instrument:Violin for the Action Tunes, Opening Doors and Mountain Creek.
Action Tunes by Mary Alice Rich: Viola Parts

Essentially the same parts as the violin parts above, but written in alto clef.
Action Tunes by Mary Alice Rich: Cello and Bass Parts

The cello and bass parts are essentially the same as the student violin and viola parts above, but are written in basically first position and in bass clef. No teacher parts exist for these instruments, but the violin or viola teacher parts work very nicely with these student cello and bass parts.
Action Tunes by Mary Alice Rich: Piano Accompaniment/Score

Essentially the student and teacher violin/viola parts combined, these optional piano accompaniments for each of the 10 tunes are accessible to teachers who have basic piano skills.
How to Measure Violin or Viola Ribs

Because viola ribs and the ribs of fractional instruments vary widely in height, and even some full-size violins' ribs vary, Gary Frisch has asked that all chinrest orders include the rib height of the instrument they are being made for. This measurement guarantees that the hardware on the chinrest will be tall enough for your instrument.

To measure the ribs of your instrument, the measurement only needs to be taken of the height of the wood between the seams of the top and back instrument plates. This measurement is preferably done in millimeters, but Gary will covert a measurement done in inches.
